A group of the students of Professor Alan Deyermond FBA (1932-2009) have established a fund to endow a short-term research fellowship at the Warburg Institute. This fellowship would pay a modest stipend to allow doctoral students and recent PhDs to spend 2 months at the Institute to do research on a project related to Spanish literature, culture or visual arts before 1600 (with a preference for the Medieval period).
The first appointment to the Fellowship will be made in early 2013 for the Academic Year 2013-14. Friends, students and admirers of Professor Deyermond are invited to add their contributions to the fund in order to secure its future. Anybody wishing to make a donation (which should attract gift aid in UK or may be made through the American Friends of the Warburg Institute) should contact Catherine.Charlton(at)sas.ac.uk for further details.
